Gray's HMO watchdog is Daniel,
A toothless and scared cocker spaniel.
Health plans jerked Dan's choke collar,
From a leash made of dollars,
And neutered the spaniel named Daniel.

Since Governor Gray is for sale,
HMOs wag the state watchdog's tail.
Dan does business each day
In the "Oracle" way,
Regulation? Wholesale or Retail???

Bob and Jackie got in some big fights.
Kaiser Health Plan ignored patient rights.
Their medical group
Prescribed bad chicken soup,
So they asked their state's watchdog to bite.

But the watchdog conspired with Kaiser,
Which was really his covert advisor.
Daniel shredded state law,
When the Plan shook his paw.
And the patients were sadder, but wiser.

Yet, sometimes slaves on the plantation,
Resist HMO domination.
But Gray's infatuation
With his re-coronation
Omits ethical motivation.

HMOs to be sure are conceited.
Gray tells them they can't be defeated.
But there is a solution,
It's called retribution,
When patients refuse to be cheated.

So that's why this lim'rick was wrote.
Gray doesn't deserve patient votes.
HMO contributions
Prevent Gray's evolution.
Gray won't rock an HMO's boat.
