"PLAIN FOLKS' HEALTH CARE"

I decided to write my book, How to Play HMO HARDBALL, after Jackie and I attended the funeral of a young woman who died of breast cancer at age 39.  The church was filled with friends, her husband and her three small children.

Until the end, she blamed her HMO for repeatedly denying a mammogram that she believed (and the facts show) may have saved her life.

She was just "plain folks".  She liked to bake cakes for her kids' birthday parties.  She enjoyed people and welcomed the neighborhood into her home.  She was a member of our HMO.  She was mistreated like HMOs mistreat "plain folks".

"PLAIN FOLKS' HEALTH CARE" is a very funny song.   It's also a very tragic song.  We hope that this song motivates HMO patients to learn How to Play HMO HARDBALL successfully.  Protect yourself and your loved ones.  Don't wait!

Listen to Jackie's rendition of "Plain Folks' Health Care" and sing along, it's fun...
